|
| Company Overview: Bank of
America was born in 1874 when the Massachusetts Bank opened. In 1958,
they became the first to offer credit cards to consumers. Over the
years, they've acquired many other companies and participated in many
mergers to become the financial empire they are today. |
|
| Our Review: There aren't many
regular banks that offer agricultural loans, so to find one that does is
nice. Bank of America has great history, and a great customer service
department. Plus, you're getting a loan that is backed by one of the
largest banks in the company. |
|
| User Review: I went to Bank
of America to get an agricultural loan to fulfill my dream of owning a
farm. Their people were very friendly and helpful, informing me of all
the ins and outs of getting a business loan. Bank of America is great!

| Services Offered:
Agricultural Loan, Land Loans, Lines of Credit |
|
| Company Overview: Mortgage
Sources has been around, under the premise of many different names,
since the late 1960's. In 1970, they were chosen to lead the
government's Agricultural Fact Finding Mission in Russia. In 1993-1994
they were listed in "Who's Who in American Business." They have many
financial accolades since their beginnings in the late '60's. |
|
| Our Review: This company
seems to have it all in order. They offer great agricultural loan
options to consumers. Their customer service seems to be pretty solid,
as well. We'd like to see more concrete financial information in their
history, but the fact that they've lasted this long is a good indicator
of their capabilities. |
|
| User Review: I found Mortgage
Sources Corporation from a general internet search for Agricultural Loan
companies. I went ahead and applied with them, and they gave me a decent
offer, but I was able to get a better loan and faster response from a
different company. It's not a bad company, just seems kind of small to
handle the business they get. |

| Services Offered:
Agricultural Loan, Commercial Loans, Credit Cards, Personal Banking,
Retirement Services |
|
| Company Overview: FBCU was
formed in 1932 by five farmers who believed there was a better way to do
agricultural finance. To date, they have more than $370 million in
assets, and offer many different services to consumers. |
|
| Our Review: Their mission
statement pretty much sums it up... "Not for profit, not for charity,
but for service." They're all about service at the FBCU, and they have
many great services to offer their customers. Seems like a great place
to take your agricultural loan needs. |
|
| User Review: My dad always
banked at FBCU, so when I needed an agricultural loan for my farm, I
went to them. The service I got was great, and the people were so
friendly and personable. I'll definitely keep my banking needs with FBCU
as long as I can. |

| Services Offered:
Agricultural Loan, Capital Loans, SBA Loans, Lines of Credit, Credit
Cards |
|
| Company Overview: US Bank is
the 6th largest commercial bank. They are owned by US Bancorp, who has
$228 billion in assets. The company also has over 2,500 offices
throughout the country. They offer full service commercial banking for
consumers. |
|
| Our Review: A big company,
great history, obviously a great place to get an agricultural loan.
Their web design is simple and functional. However, are they too big to
provide the personalized service to their customers? This one will be a
matter of personal opinion and choice. |
|
| User Review: I've banked with
U.S. Bank my whole adult life, so when I needed an agricultural loan I
went to them first. They were very friendly and helpful, as always, and
gave me a great loan with great rates, plus other options like lines of
credit and credit cards. |

How To Select The Best Company For Agricultural Loan |
|
Finding the right
agricultural loan is just as important as finding a good business loan,
because it essentially is a business loan. You will need to do some
research, to see how much you need to borrow, how much you are eligible
to borrow, and what kind of programs are available to you. Many states
offer agricultural loan programs through the state department for
consumers. However, there are also many lending institutions and
mortgage companies that offer agricultural loan options for consumers.
You will need to explore your options and figure out which route is best
for you. Once that is done, and if you have chosen to use an independent
lender for your agricultural loan, you will need to choose which company
is best for you. To do this, simply read through their website, research
the company's history, and fill out preliminary papers to see which
company can offer you the best agricultural loan. Many companies will
argue that they have the lowest rates, but in today's unstable economy,
you're not going to know who offers what rate until you give them your
personal information. Pick a company that you trust, that has a good
reputation, and that can give you the services that you need. It's not
always best to go with the cheapest company, because you need to make
sure that they are going to have the service to back up the low rates
for your agricultural loan. Once you've done your research and decided
on which company is right for you, then all you need to do is fill out
the necessary paperwork and get your estimate. If you prefer, you can
apply with a few companies to see which ones have the best rates and
loan options for you. As long as you're informed, and know what you're
getting into, getting an agricultural loan is a simple task.
